Thursday 5/15

We spent today reviewing for Algebra I Test 34. You've received a Preview worksheet with two copies of every question that look very similar to the test you'll be taking tomorrow. Your work tonight will determine your success tomorrow.

Wednesday 5/14

Today we applied the Pythagorean Theorem to solve the Taco Cart problem, a three act play from Dan Meyer's excellent website.

Notes #69 consisted of copying the details from that website and calculating the time each would take to reach the cart. Be sure to have it all detailed and ready for the notes quiz on Friday.

Tuesday 5/13

Today we learned how to use the distance formula with Notes #68.

The distance formula is used extensively in the real world, from sports to space exploration, from maps and GPS to atomic physics; it's everywhere!

Monday 5/12

Today you began working on assignment #120 in class which covers application of the Pythagorean Theorem to real world problems. Your homework is to finish that assignment.
